Ideal Home Show Manchester 2017
We all get a little excited here in the Litecraft Hub when an interior designer gets in touch. But it’s a whole other level of excitement when the designer is also a flourishing young property developer who’s just appeared in a successful Channel 5 property programme. Add to that the fact that said designer has nabbed a coveted spot at the Ideal Home Show and wants to feature our lights.
Meet Briony Branson, a 26 year old interior designer with a successful interior design company under her belt. This weekend she showcased her design talents with a stunning room set at the ideal home Show in Manchester.
Four independent interior designers including Briony were chosen to design a room set. With each room focusing on a particular season. The room sets gave a glimpse of what interior trends we can hope to see in the next coming months. Briony had the task of putting together an autumnal interior trend with the help of some of our Litecraft fittings. A sultry and calming autumnal look was produced, a nod to the huge interior trend Hygge mixed with a calming off shore misty blue feel.
Autumn Mist comprises a mixture of deep blue and misty grey tones. Hygge inspired textures including faux fur, warm metal brass finishes and a touch of earthy, organic greenery accents. A sparkling addition from our Ornate Crystal Droplet Ceiling Pendant gives the room set a touch of vintage glam, whilst our Traditional Table lamp featuring a contemporary Glass tube adds a vintage yet modern style to compliment. We asked Briony what her influences where behind this interior style..
“When I was invited to design an autumnal room set I instantly knew I did not want to stick to the traditional burnt orange and brown tones that you see in themed room sets. The trends over the last twelve months have varied from dark tones with metal features all the way to pastels and minimalist hygge interiors. I wanted to combine these elements and produce a room that instantly felt like home. A cosy bedroom space with a warm undertone. I combined brass accents with a mixture of soft grey and blue walls whilst incorporating mirrored surfaces to bounce around light that autumn nights are often lacking. Cosy blankets and throws combined with faux fur and wood softened the look providing the autumn warmth that everyone needs over the colder months. The chandelier added a focal point, creating a sophisticated to the room whilst casting a lovely relaxing light – perfect for those dark evenings. “
