We’re at ‘Dig the City Festival’ for this week only in the heart of Manchester’s City Centre. Come down and see our wonderful Illuminated Glow Furniture featured in a stunning show garden! Litecraft have sponsored Green & Wood Garden & Landscape Designers' beautiful “Black & Rust” show garden displayed on New Cathedral Street.

The  festival runs for a week from 3^rd -11^th August. It aims to help our urban neighbours and inspire them to dress up their limited garden spaces. Whether it be roof terraces, balconies or even city park areas. Green & Wood’s show garden was depicted as a small roof terrace to convey how even the smallest of spaces can easily become a beautiful green oasis with a bit of TLC and not forgetting that good old elbow grease!  The garden uses simple clean lines and a neutral colour palette. Consequently to give that modern look whilst still feeling spacious and roomy!

 The design makes as much use of the limited space as possible. Further more  a rusted reinforcement mesh used as a vertical trellis perfect for growing your own vegetables and herbs! Litecraft’s Orange Illuminated Glow Furniture complimented the roof terrace perfectly, whilst a very contemporary range, the furniture was softened by carefully selected plants that included an array of herbs and flowers in rusted tones of orange and hints of purple. The space was completed with soft grasses throughout to add texture and depth to the garden we can only describe this garden as inspirational!

Visiting the show

Whilst visiting the show garden we were simply stunned at how much ‘space’ you could create in such a small area. Perfect for those summer evenings enjoying the sunset and an ice cold glass of wine! We would like to thank Green & Wood for using our Illuminated Glow Furniture and would like to say how pleased we are with the outcome, simply outstanding! If you live local to Manchester’s City Centre we would definitely recommend a visit to the Dig the City Festival for inspiration, food, markets and much more!
