This week we celebrate the arrival of our new range of Decanter Table Lamps. A collection of exquisite cut glass sculptured lamps in an array of soothing Autumn shades. Our in-house design team have spent all Summer sourcing the perfect cut glass pattern, looking at colour trends for Autumn/Winter and deciding which stopper would best complete the design.

Decanters and Carafe designs are the height of elegance and sophistication. Normally used as serving vessels for wine at dinner parties or other social gatherings, they play a significant role throughout history. Some decanter styles feature a design purely for  whiskey beverages, these appear with a more rectangular or square design.

A typical wine decanter features a long slender neck that opens up to let the wine aerate. The decision for a stopper was introduced by the British in 1730. These tended to be elaborately cut with an intricate design.

Our New Decanter Table Lamp Range features a classic decanter design, reminiscent of the 1730's. A slender bottle shape neck with a bulbous base, finished with a cut glass detailed round stopper. As well as this, a stunning etched glass design features along the main body of the lamp. This beautiful design also casts a mixture of silhouettes, shadows and sparkles of light over surfaces when lit.

Add a Vintage Touch

This range will provide a perfect vintage addition to any room. For instance, place on a side table in the hallway for an instant warm vintage welcome. Alternatively, double up as an ornament on a bedroom dresser or take advantage of it's in-line dimmer switch and place on a bedside table as a subtle night light.

In recent years and with the help of movies such as The Great Gatsby, decanter style designs have become more and more popular.
